Building the future of site inspection

A clearer way
to inspect
buildings.

A dedicated camera scanner. Integrated lighting. Better evidence for the engineer.

That’s the vision. We’re starting with a phone MVP to put the workflow to the test.

THE FINAL PRODUCT

More context.
A clearer picture.

The Hames Systems scanner is planned to guide capture across a site and turn what it sees into evidence an engineer can act on.

Capture with purposeGuided scanning and integrated lighting, designed around building surfaces.

Assess with contextDevelop toward defect detection, validated measurements and comparison with approved designs.

Keep the story connectedLink findings to reports and repair history, with the engineer in control.

Future hardware and capabilities. Design and performance still need engineering and validation.

An illustrative inspection journey, from capture point to finding.

Built to give
engineers time back.

Less time assembling records means more time for engineering judgment. These are the benefits we aim to prove.

Less reporting work

Bring photographs, locations and reviewed findings into one structured record.

Earlier attention to issues

Help teams address problems before later work makes repairs more difficult and costly.

More capacity for projects

A more efficient workflow could help companies handle more work with the same team.

Time savings, cost reductions and return on investment will be assessed in pilots.

Phone MVP · In development

First, we’re
starting with
your phone.

Our minimum viable product tests the core journey: capture site evidence, review AI-suggested findings and follow the repair.

Guided capture from uploaded floor plans

Initial focus: cracks, salt deposits and concrete honeycombing

Engineer review, PDF reports and repeat visits

The phone MVP is the first step toward the dedicated scanner. It is not yet a public inspection service.

THE MVP, STEP BY STEPIllustrative example
START WITH CONTEXT

Your plan is the starting point.

Upload a floor plan and choose the construction stage. The engineer confirms room boundaries and checks that the proposed capture points are accessible.

What to know: Detection is still being validated. Phone photographs do not provide certified measurements, and alignment flags are provisional. Engineers can correct findings. Plan markers refer to capture points, not exact defect coordinates.

THE PERSON BEHIND THE IDEA

Fouad Al Hames

Founder · American University of Beirut student
From Sednaya, Syria

It started with a snag list.

During a construction internship, I was asked to prepare a snag list: a record of defects and unfinished work. I saw how much time went into documenting observations and checking alignment by hand, from string lines at the foundation stage to inspecting walls one by one.

That experience led to Hames Systems. My goal is to give engineers better tools for inspections and follow-up, helping them address problems before they become harder and more expensive to resolve.

Say hello

A few things to know.

Can I use Hames Systems today?

The phone MVP is in development. The dedicated camera scanner is the future product. Contact Fouad to discuss testing, feedback or a potential pilot.

Will it replace an engineer?

The engineer reviews, corrects or removes findings and retains responsibility for professional judgment. Hames Systems is intended to support inspection and documentation, not provide automatic structural certification.

How do the phone MVP and scanner differ?

The MVP uses phone photographs to test capture, AI assistance, review and reporting. The final product is planned around dedicated camera hardware and integrated lighting, with future development toward validated measurements, BIM comparison and wider site intelligence.

What comes after the MVP?

Site testing will shape the dedicated scanner. The longer-term vision includes alignment and dimension checks, scan-to-BIM comparison and model creation, progress monitoring, drawing analysis and specialist inspections. These capabilities depend on validation, engineering and funding.
